How_Long is a wireless measuring device that enables you to calculate distance and areas, even through obstacles.
The How_Long concept is a distance and area measurer that makes use of wireless technology.
How_Long consists of two identical units. One unit transmits a
particular frequency signal to the other unit, which is reflected back to the original unit. The latter then calculates the distance between the two units.
There is no longer any need for two people to be present in order to measure a distance. Simply leaving one
unit and walking to the point you want to measure will reveal the distance. The frequency signal can transmit through obstacles, so should there be an object, wall or building between the two units, the distance can still be measured. Furthermore, areas can be measured with four units. By transmitting a signal to two other units, each unit can locate its position. By deriving the four points, the units can calculate the area they are in. The
measurement is displayed on the diagonal side of the device with icons for distance and dimensions. The cross button can be used to toggle the units of display. |
