Jelly Click is a lightweight, portable and inflatable laptop mouse that is easy to use and can be made to fit any hand comfortably.

Portablity is an important quality of the laptop mouse. However, an emphasis on portability often results in a decrease in usability. Jelly Click is an inflatable portable mouse that satisfies both portability and usability. The hardware unit of the mouse can easily be clicked into place on the balloon with the use of press buttons. The connection of the parts is achieved by the cross-shaped control unit. The balloon is made with waterborne polyurethane, which is highly resistant to heat. While the existing mouse design puts an enormous amount of stress on the wrists and the hand, Jelly Click can be inflated to a size that will best fit the user’s hand. It is also lightweight and easy to move.

On the surface of the cross control area there are small projections that allow the user to immediately acknowledge what action they are taking, such as scrolling or clicking.

After the mouse is completely deflated, it can be folded up into a compact size and the cord can be wound around it for a neat finish. Being three times thinner than an ordinary mouse, Jelly Click is highly portable. If there is a need to change a particular part (either the balloon unit or the hardware unit), the user can choose from a variety of colours and designs and simply switch it with the old part. This benefits both the user and merchandiser.

Jelly Click is easy to manufacture and has fewer parts than the ordinary mouse, leading to cost reductions. The package for Jelly Click is just 10 mm thick, so transportation costs could also be reduced. Compared to the ordinary mouse, Jelly Click also has much less material for eventual disposal. Even the waterborne polyurethane is a material that causes no harm to the environment.
