The Third EYE is a compact hand-held travel
device that provides location details and other
information to tourists, and helps people travel
in unknown cities without fear.
Curiosity about unknown places is one of
the reasons to travel. People keen for new
experiences in unknown places will generally
put in a great deal of effort to prepare
themselves before they leave, collecting
information about their destination and packing
their luggage with thick guidebooks, maps and
devices.
The Third EYE presents a way to avoid the
fuss. It is a simple and smart travel device
that helps people travel in cities with useful
information at their fingertips.
This hand-sized
navigation tool provides information including
location, history and related explanations for
a place. It has two operating modes: C mode
(a commercial place finder for places such as
restaurants, hotels and shops) and T mode (a
scenic/travel place finder for places such as
monuments and galleries). The traveller can
easily find a place, be it a shopping centre or
a tourist attraction, just by turning a pointer.
The Third EYE functions as a GPS and as a
traditional compass, and it uses stereo vision
technology for good quality and accurate image shots.
