Have you ever had trouble finding the last
available spaces in a car park, or been unable
to locate your car when you return? Bee
Parking is a parking card information system
that will guide you along the ramps and keep
you from going around the bend.
City parking lots are often quite full, and
finding the last available spaces takes time
and uses up petrol unnecessarily. Utilising
infrared sensors, a ZigBee network protocol
and a flexible display, the Bee Parking system
guides the driver to an available space. ZigBee
devices are distributed throughout the parking
lot. Information is communicated to the Bee
Parking card, which displays an arrow to
indicate the direction of the available space.
Other useful information can be shown, such
as the parking space number, car park entry
time and parking fee. The driver takes the
card when leaving the car and it can help with
re-locating the vehicle upon return. After the
parking fee is paid, the arrow indicates the
direction of the exit. |
