Threading a needle is generally difficult, but it would be even trickier if you suffer from poor eyesight or shaky hands. The BIG EYE NEEDLE can be threaded easily with a temporary enlargement of the eye.
“The eye of a needle” is a saying often used in relation to very small holes. As threading can be frustrating when it comes to needlework, people often wish that needles’ eyes could be bigger. However, bigger eyes would not be practical, as they would leave unsightly holes in the fabric. BIG EYE NEEDLE has been conceptualised to solve this prevailing issue. It can accommodate a bigger eye, while maintaining the overall size of the needle. The
eye of the needle has been designed with a slit to allow the user to enlarge it by pressing against the end with the fingertips. The needle snaps back into its original form after the pressure is released. The material used to make the needle – iron – creates a spring-like elasticity when the eye is enlarged while simultaneously making it possible for the needle to retain its rigidity. BIG EYE NEEDLE makes it possible for anyone, especially the elderly, to thread a needle easily.
