Why must the toilet brush convey an image of
dirtiness? It Depends On You is a sculptural
toilet brush and brush holder designed to lift
the mood of the user.

It Depends On You is a toilet brush and
brush holder that combine to form a complete
structure. A curve has been used in the design
to hint at the function of the toilet brush, at the
same time giving formal expression. The form
is based on the image of a broom, complete
with lines expressed on the surface.

The base of the water container has been
designed as a heavy cylinder resting above
a square surface, which relates to Chinese
symbolism – “sky is round and earth is
square”. At the same time, the configuration
suggests that the brush be placed downwards.
The play on soft curvilinearity makes a point
of difference from other regular, stiff toilet
brushes. It Depends On You offers the user a
more pleasant experience and brings elegance
to cleaning.
